EASA Class 1

Pilots with a ATPL1, MPL2 of CPL3 license need a medical class 1 certificate. These are the commercial licenses for airplanes, helicopters or zeppelins.

For your medical checkups, renewals or revalidations you can contact Dr. Kremer. You should first see you ophthalmologist when you are aware of a significant ophthalmologic disorder or when you had eye surgery in the past. He or she should fill out this form, after which you bring it for your medical exam.

We invite you to contact an Aeromedical Center (AeMC) for an initial medical license class 1.

EASA Class 2

The medical Class 2 consists of recreational pilots (PPL). Generally speaking they can only perform private, non-commercial flights. However, commercial hot air balloon pilots and glider pilots do need an EASA class 2 medical license. As such, this certificate is needed for pilot licenses of the type PPL (A5), PPL (H6), PPL (As7), SPL8 and BPL9.

EASA Class 3

This medical license is required for Air Traffic Controllers (ATC).

Class 4 National

This is a national (Belgian) medical license. It is regulated bij the Royal Decree of July 12 2013 (2013/14202). This class consists of the pilots of Ultra-Light Motorised (ULM), Delta-Plane Motorised (DPM) and paramotors.

He or she should fill out this form, after which you bring it for your medical exam.

EASA LAPL

The LAPL class consists of recreational pilots of light aircrafts. These have fixed limits on weight (MTOW11 or others). These pilots can only perform private, non-commercial flights, with a maximum of 3 passengers. This certificate is, as such, necessary for pilot licenses of the type LAPL (A), LAPL (H), LAPL (S12), LAPL(B13).

EASA Cabin Crew

As a flight attendant you have an important function in terms of security on board of the aircraft. As such, it is required to have a medical EASA Cabin Crew license. This way, it can be guaranteed that you are medically able to perform your duties onboard the airplane.
