LAPL Medical Examination in Belgium
The LAPL medical examination is intended for recreational pilots and ULM pilots. It has less stringent medical requirements compared to Class 1 and Class 2 medicals and focuses on general health and safe participation in aviation.
Our practice offers an accessible and efficient approach, with most certificates issued immediately after the consultation.
What to bring?
- Identity card or passport
- Glasses or contact lenses + recent prescription or proof of correction
(if applicable) - Previous medical certificates
- Any relevant medical reports
How the examination works
- Consultation and medical questionnaire
- Medical tests and examinations
- Discussion and certificate issuance
In most cases, your certificate is issued immediately after the consultation.
What is included in a LAPL medical?
- General medical examination
- Vision assessment
- Hearing test (only if required)
- Cardiovascular assessment (only if required)
- Lung function test (spirometry if required)
- Urine analysis

* Blood sampling is performed within the practice.
Certain analyses are processed by an external laboratory and are not included.
If additional external tests are required, this will always be clearly discussed with you.
